"The Creeping Cove Report" is a regular column published in The Westport Herald beginning in February of 1987. It followed journalist Iowa Walsh as she investigated the sudden disappearance of fisherman Ivan Murtin in Creeping Cove, MA.
Creeping Cove is a tiny island community named for the creeping ivy that can be found throughout the island. It is located roughly 23 miles south of Westport.
On this blog you will find a combination of the raw manuscripts written by Iowa prior to being sent to her editor, Harold Hamlin, the edited published segments, as well as a myriad of other primary sources, such as phone call transcripts, that aided Iowa in her investigation.
